Software requirements

In this page we enumerate the software needed for following the PDL tutorial. For each listed program, you can download the latest stable version available.

• Java (1.6 or higher JRE or JDK ) for running the PDL standalone client and the PDL server.
• A MySQL server for running the PDL server. In this Database engine you have to define the user "PDL_user". For security reasons the associated password to use during the tutorial will be communicated orally. For the moment define the password as you wish.
• Taverna with the AstroTaverna plugin. Instruction for installing plugins in Taverna are here.

Finally, for following the tutorial, please download this zip file. It contains the DescriptionEditor, the Standalone client and the PDL Server.
